Entebbe Trailer – who remembers this?  A hijacking and daring rescue mission.  Arrives UK cinemas April 6

Israeli soldiers embark on a mission to rescue more than 240 hostages from an airport in Entebbe, Uganda.  It was in the summer of 1976.

Inspired by the true events of the hijacking of an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris.  At the time it was described as the most daring rescue mission ever attempted.

The Times:  It’s strong stuff.  And then it all goes down the drain

Guardian:  “Surprise and speed is the key.” Someone comments at one point; the only surprise is how unspeedy and unsurprising this project turned out to be.

At this stage film critics have not been too generous with their reviews of the film.  Most not inspired by the latest version of the story (it’s been done before).
