Ashes Catch Up Show Third Test – Day 3. England in process of being crushed

England 403/10.  Australia 549/4

Congratulations to Australia’s captain Steve Smith for his 22nd Hundred in 59 Tests.

Steve Smith and Mitch Marsh’s triple-century stand piled on the Perth misery to leave England on the brink of losing the Ashes

The tourists had opportunities to set Australia a more challenging chase. But Joe Root (51), Jonny Bairstow (42) and Moeen Ali (40) failed to make telling contributions following good starts.

England is running out of time.  On Monday Australia will go 1-0 up in their quest to regain the Ashes. They will preserve an unbeaten record at the Gabba that stretches back to 1988.

What a disappointment for England fans.  They all had high hopes for an Ashes win but it is now too late.

England fans in the crowd even did a rain dance to help their players.  With a bit of wet weather it would have helped them feel at home.

Take a look at the video.  Watch the number of failures by the England players.  Can they really play cricket?  Do they have a good Captain?  Do they have good players?
