FULL Interview: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple marry May 19.  Interview by Mishal Husain BBC News

Prince Harry, aged 33, and Ms Markle, aged 36, are to marry in the spring.  Harry: stars were aligned when they fell in love and he proposed over roast chicken.

Appearing for photos outside Kensington Palace earlier, Prince Harry told reporters he was thrilled.  The couple secretly got engaged earlier this month

The Queen and Prince Philip: delighted for the couple.  Ms Markle is an American actress and a humanitarian campaigner.  For the Prince it was love at first sight.

Prince Harry and Meghan met on a blind date.  A female friend introduced the two to each other.

The engagement ring designed by the Prince.  He chose a large yellow diamond from Botswana and two smaller diamonds from his mother’s jewellery collection.  Megan is proud to wear it.  It is a connection to Harry’s mum Diana the Princess of Wales.

The proposal was simple and fairly straight forward.  They were at home in their cottage at Kensington Palace.  It was a lovely evening and peaceful.  Harry went down on one knee and asked Meghan to marry him.  He hadn’t quite finished when Meghan burst out and said YES
