This is how it goes

Dominika Egorova is many things.  A devoted daughter determined to protect her mother at all costs.  A prima ballerina whose ferocity has pushed her body and mind to the absolute limit.

A master of seductive and manipulative combat.

When she suffers a career-ending injury, Dominika and her mother face a bleak and uncertain future.

The ballerina embarks on a different challenge.  Dominika is recruited to ‘Sparrow School’ a Russian intelligence service.  This is where she is forced to use her body as a weapon.

Former ballerina endures the perverse and sadistic training process. She emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow the programme has ever produced

Her first mission is to target a CIA agent.  But it threatens to unravel the security of both nations.

It is always good to see Jennifer Lawrence in a film.  Her talent is never-ending.  There are no limits in what Jennifer can do.  From ballerina to Intelligence Agent is a big ask. But she can do it.

Scenes from the film take the audience to Siberia.  Fields of snow are continuous. A location where strength and power of mind important to survive the freezing conditions.

Red Sparrow is forecast to be one of the best films of 2018.


This the third time Jennifer Lawrence and Francis Lawrence have worked together. In the Hunger Games series and The Dive.
