This is how it goes
Leonard Vole is accused of murdering a widow, Emily French, to inherit her wealth. The stakes are high. Will Leonard survive the shocking witness testimony? Accusations levelled from where he least expected them. Will he be able to convince the jury of his innocence? Can he escape the ultimate fate: the hangman’s noose?
Downton Abbey star Catherine Steadman will play Romaine. Leonard Vole is portrayed by rising star Jack McMullen. David Yelland (The Crown, Foyle’s War) will play Sir Wilfrid Robarts. Philip Franks (Art, Noises Off) will play Mr Myers. Patrick Godfrey (Half Life, Mr Turner) will play Sir Justice Wainwright. Roger Ringrose (Broadchurch, Mr Selfridge) plays Mr Mayhew.
