Man Almost Dies after Fish Jumps Down His Throat – this is the best version of the story
Man almost Dies after Fish Jumps Down His Throat.
An angler had to be resuscitated after accidentally swallowing a fish he had caught. To celebrate his catch Sam Quilliam kissed the Dover sole. But the 6 inches (14cm) fish wiggled out of his hand and jumped into his mouth.
It became very serious. Quite quickly he stopped breathing, he had a cardiac arrest. But thankfully paramedic Matt Harrison was quick to the scene.
The Angler has thanked the medic team who helped save him. Sam Quilliam admits it was a bizarre thing to happen. But grateful he is alive. Quilliam, 28, is from the New Forest. He thought the fish to be too small and ready to throw it back into the water but decided to give it a kiss.
It ended up nearly killing him.
The whole affair happened at Boscombe Pier, Dover
The man who saved him talked to Rachel Burden, BBC Radio Five Live. A great tale
