Kelo the parrot – NI football team’s biggest feathered fan – a loud supporter

Meet Kelo, the Northern Ireland football team’s biggest feathered fan. He has been a supporter since arriving in Belfast and given a home.

The bird has mastered the Belfast accent to cheer on the Green and White Army.

The football team have huge support across Ireland. Strong and powerful players hit the pitch each playing day.  Only one thing is required.  A win.  Who knows the Green and White Army could be heading to Moscow.

Imagine the delightful parrot on the shoulder of the captain as the footballers head for the Russian capital.

There will be lots of feathers flying should the team make it.

Northern Ireland are well placed to finish as one of the eight best runners-up from the nine groups and make the play-offs in November.

They achieved their highest ever Fifa world ranking of 20th for September, a massive climb from 129th in September 2012.

The club comes up with surprises nearly every year. Footballers suffer injuries every now and then which makes the Cup at the end of the season more difficult to win.
