Las Vegas Mass Killings – reports gunman firing machine gun from a hotel window. The worst US shooting in recent history

Prime Minister Theresa May has spoken to President Donald Trump following the shooting. The PM offered condolences to families of victims.

She described the mass killings as senseless and cowardly.  The UK ready to help if needed.

At least 58 dead when a gunman opened fire on a crowd attending a country and western concert.  More than 500 people were injured.

The gunman is named as 64-year-old Nevada resident Stephen Paddock. He opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. He aimed at open-air music festival attended by 22,000.

Police say Paddock is dead – apparently took his own life. He checked into the hotel last Thursday September 28. A woman, believed to be his wife, was with him.

The area had little shelter and nowhere to hide. People ran for a car park nearby.
