Winners Citizen Journalism Competition –  Inspired talent.  The London Voices 2017 Citizen Journalism competition winners

The winners of the 2017 Citizen Journalism Competition showed talent that spanned print, photography, video and broadcasting.

These are the winners in the London Voices 2017 Citizen Journalism Competition.  Louisa Naks won first prize, Guilia Bassanese second and Seren Morris third.

They all live in London and received cash bursary prizes of up to £2,000. The money was awarded by The Media Society and London Learning Consortium.

Due to the success of London Voices, the competition is running again in 2018 as one of the first key competitions in London citizen journalism.  The competition will run until 21st May, and is open to anyone over 14 who lives, works or studies in Greater London and is not a full-time paid journalist.

Journalism is a profession that requires a strong interest in the community. In the Capital, there is a demand for more diverse and local news with a population of nearly 9 million.   Citizen journalism fills that demand.

London Voices is looking for additional sponsorship to help make the next competition an even bigger success.  Please contact Amanda at for more information.
