Light Festival is Highlight Celebrating 50 Years Sgt Pepper.

A new light festival at Camp Hill and a musical take-over of Aintree Racecourse will be just two of 13 exciting events celebrating the 50th anniversary of Sgt Pepper in Liverpool this summer.

World-renowned artists and Liverpool-based talent will come together to pay homage to what is widely regarded as the best rock and roll album of all time.

Each track on The Beatles’ album will be the inspiration for a brand new event presented under the Sgt Pepper at 50: Heading for Home banner.

The light festival, called Suspended Time, at Camp Hill in Woolton, will be loosely based on Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

Liverpool is expected to fill with visitors from all over the country as well as worldwide. The impact of Sgt Pepper back in 1967 was incredible.  Their ambitious promotion to broadcast the album live across the globe was watched by millions.
