Table 19 Watch the trailer for this wedding disaster – arrives in British cinemas April 7
This is how it goes
Ex-maid of honour Eloise (Anna Kendrick) – having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text – decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend’s wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the ‘random’ table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone’s secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships – and even a little romance – can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.
Director: Jeffrey Blitz
Cast: Anna Kendrick, Craig Robinson, June Squibb, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, Tony Revolori, Wyatt Russell, Amanda Crew, Thomas Cocquerel
Newsbites: You’ve invited to the wedding of the season. Don’t fit in? Take a number
Table 19 is a great laugh. Be careful you find humour in the script and not the movie. Not all of them are guests and are a crazy mix. Nobody knows each other and it’s not likely they will. One guy offers $20 to the lady sitting next to him to stand up. She does so just as the waiter arrives. They’re both wearing the same clothes!
The characters sitting round the table are either boring or have a story to tell. They are a bit weird.
