The Shack watch the trailer for this drama fantasy – hits British cinemas June 9

This is how it goes…

He has suffered a family tragedy. Mack Phillips daughter goes missing presumed dead.  He spirals into a deep depression that causes him to question his innermost beliefs.  Mack is facing a crisis of faith, and receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack in the Oregon wilderness.  Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa.  Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever.

There is a lot of pain and misery in the movie but there is also beauty in its surroundings.  The group relish their environment.  The question is whether Mack is being healed or taken for a long ride.  He is so overwhelmed by the loss that he can’t see the reality from fiction.  Mack is looked after by the people the meets in The Shack.  He cooks and listens to their guidance
