Dreamgirls opening night was an amazing affair. The great musical was a groundbreaking hit on Broadway 35 years ago and it looks set to be the same in the West End in London.
Chart topper singers, Nicole Scherzinger and Emelie Sandé were among the celebrity stars eager to see the show.
Guests were excited, thrilled and ready to dance in aisle for the great occasion. They couldn’t wait to get inside a catch the pop songs that were top of the charts in the sixties.
Elaine Paige said she had been waiting for some time to see the show on the British stage because she had seen the original on broadway. She had no doubt it would be just as fantastic.
Songs featured are “One Night Only”, “I Am Changing”, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”.
The Broadway sensation stars diva songstress Amber Riley from hit US series Glee. Joining her are Ruth Brown a BBC The Voice star and Karen Mav who was a contestant on the X Factor.
The production team a confident they have some of the best British performers in the show.
Dreamgirls transports you to a revolutionary time in American music history and charts the tumultuous journey of young female singing trio from Chicago, called The Dreams.
