Joe Joyce wins GBs last Olympic Silver in the super-heavyweight boxing event as the Games came to a close. It gave Britain its 67th medal of Rio 2016. The win secured a record second for Team GB in the medal table higher than in London 2012.
Joe Joyce v Tony Yoka
The match was against France’s champion Tony Yoka who was declared winner after split decision. The announcement received loud boos from the crowd.
Joe Joyce was aiming for gold and admitted afterwards he was disappointed but was pleased to win a silver for Great Britain.
There is another side to Joe Joyce: he is dedicated to his boxing but he also has a hobby of screen painting using the game and its characters for his artwork. It is very impressive stuff. He finds the artistic side of his nature is relaxing and occasionally takes it out on the brush should he want to get stuff off his chest
