Olympic Gold for Mens Four in the rowing event in Rio 2016.
The four were, Sbihi, Nash, Louloudis and London 2012 winner Gregory who beat Australia in a time of five minutes 58.61 seconds.
It was Britain’s fifth consecutive Olympic title in the race after wins in Sydney, Athens, Beijing and London.
Brothers Gary and Paul O’Donovan won rowing silver in the lightweight men’s double sculls to give Ireland their first medal of the Rio Olympics.
There have been reports of too many empty seats in the spectators viewing stands, but in this case there was a large crowd whooping for joy at the amazing win.
Today’s gold , Friday August 12, has moved Great Britain up the medal table and placing GB in fourth place. Japan is just ahead with seven golds. The two top countries are the United States, and China.
If Great Britain continues like this the medal table will look a lot different by end of Rio 2016
