Celebrations for Queen at 90!
A massive street party planned for the Queen at 90 on June 12. Her grandson Peter Phillips initiated the birthday bash known as the Patron’s Lunch for charities and organisations associated with the Monarch.
About 10 thousand guests invited and another thousand offered tickets for £150 which they can sell to raise funds for a charity.
The idea is to create a carnival atmosphere on the doorstep of Buckingham Palace to mark the Queens official birthday. Her actual special day is April 21.
The idea of street parties came following their massive success when The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, were married. The public across the country arranged festivities to celebrate the marriage.
It is expected a street party down the road from Buck Palace will prove to be equally successful. Volunteers will make up the guest list on the day
Other festivities happened in April, May and now June. A great time to celebrate. Everyone had a good time.
