Thousands protested against Syria air attacks as they marched through London and gathered outside Downing Street in Whitehall. They chanted Don’t Bomb Syria.
The huge crowd of demonstrators carried banners and placards calling on David Cameron not to bomb Syria.
The massive rally took place as Prime Minister David Cameron gave his strongest indication yet that he will call a vote on British airstrikes in Syria and the so-called Islamic States. The new Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn also opposed the action.
Guest speakers at the rally stood up and urged there should not be attacks against ISIS, because the conflict in the Middle East they said has been going on longer than the World Wars in the West.
The Stop the War Coalition organised the rally in London and across the country.
Ynuk.tv was there
Were you there? Did you agree with the shouts Don’t Bomb Syria? Difficult day and difficult decision. But the crowd was clear. It was important to get the message across. Not only in the UK but worldwide
