The amazing Sunny Afternoon has celebrated one year and plans to continue for another.

Ray Davies king of the Kinks led the music legends that turned out for the big party at the Harold Pinter Theatre.  Others included Liam Gallagher and Carl Barat, Pete Waterhouse, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Gary Kemp Spandau Ballet.  Sunny Afternoon won four accolades at the 2015 Olivier awards:  Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical for John Dagleish, Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for George Maguire and Outstanding Achievement in Music for Ray Davies.

Directed by Edward Hall, Sunny Afternoon charts the iconic band The Kink’s rise to fame. The show features a book by Joe Penhall with music, lyrics and original story by Ray Davies.

The new cast took over from October 5 and the show is booking until April 16, 2016
