Prince Harry’s Sentebale Party – fundraising

Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho celebrated ten years of helping vulnerable children in Lesotho by hosting a party in London.

Together they had formed the Sentebale Charity in 2004, and  marked the anniversary occasion by organsing a Summer Party at the Dorchester Hotel.  The large crowd included celebrities, artists and other members of the Royal family.


The event highlighted the achievements of Prince Harry’s charity dedicated to working with HIV/AIDS orphans and disadvantaged children in the African kingdom of Lesotho.  Sentebale which means ‘forget me not’

The evening recognised a number of people who have supported Sentebale’s work in providing care and education to some of the most vulnerable children in the world.

Joss Stone

Special guest was soul singer Joss Stone who has been named as an Ambassador of Sentebale.  She spoke of her recent trip to Lesotho and later performed for the large crowd.

Thousands of children

Today, the charity works in partnership with local community-run organisations, other NGOs, local government ministers and chiefs to provide healthcare, and education to thousands of children who have been affected by the HIV/Aids epidemic and extreme poverty.
