Kate has had another baby – it was a girl and called Charlotte! Clarence house had made the announcement that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant with her second child.
Like her first pregnancy she suffered from acute morning sickness and was treated by a doctor at Kensington Palace. This was another reason why the news came out because the Duchess had to cancel engagements because of her morning sickness.
The sickness – called hyperemesis gravidarum – is a condition that may require supplementary hydration, medication and nutrients.
Official announcement from Clarence House said: “Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.”
When the first pregnancy was announced it was welcome news worldwide. Below is how the story unfolded:
The baby expected by Kate, the Duchess of Cornwall was born Monday 22nd July 2013. She had a boy and has been named as George Alexander Louis and will be known as Prince George of Cambridge. Back in January, St James’s Palace formally announced the pregnancy and also confirmed Kate was expecting just one baby. The Royal couple revealed the news of the pregnancy just before Christmas after the Duchess was admitted to hospital Monday December 4 suffering from acute morning sickness.
