In Peckham Film Awards 2012 a 25 year old artist won a top award for her short movie called “At The Bus Station”.

Sarah Peace was among 37 entrants in Peckham’s Young Film Makers competition for 2012.  She said she was inspired by the idea while sitting at bus stations waiting for the bus to come. It is a situation that many of us have found ourselves doing.

Sarah touched the subject with some very creative skills

Major event

The Peckham Film Awards 2012 organised by Free Film Festival and with the support of Peckhamplex cinema.  The movie honours are fast becoming a major event.  Young people between the ages of 11 -25 are invited to submit entries for the categories of, drama, documentaries and animation.  Support in the project is offered by professionals but overall the film must be the work of the entrant.

Great enthusiasm for the award.  An opportunity to show off skills.  Also get to make a film short or long.  Also access film cameras and filming technology. An encouraging film festival    Watch the talent of the young film makers
