The Olympic Torch is in London! On the way it had many towns and villages to visit before arriving in the capital to prepare to open the 2012 Olympic Games.
Rapper, Wretch 32, ran in the relay on day 57, July 14, with the community and champions between Bournemouth, Isle Of Wight and Southampton.
The torch relay for the Olympics lasted 70 days, with 66 evening celebrations. About 8,000 people carried the torch a total distance of about 8,000 miles (12,800 km), starting from Lands End in Cornwall. A wide range of people carried the torch around the country, mostly sports men and women, military figures and other local heroes from towns and cities across the nation. A number of celebrities also held the flame on its journey, including Dr Who star Matt Smith.
When locals heard the torch was on its way to their location hundreds lined the streets to welcome the torch and those running with the flame. The talk of the day was being able to say I was there to see the Olympic torch. The flame was creating a great atmosphere among the people across the nation
