Prince William – Centrepoint one of his first official events
In October 2010 and still single Prince William was at Centrepoint in London where young homeless people have sought refuge for 40 years. He was a special guest and met many of the young people staying there. He laughed and joked with them. Encouraged teenagers to pursue their ambitions. There was one young boy who wanted to be a musician and Prince William suggested he should make contact with the musicians who had come with the Prince on the visit. But the boy was shy.
The Royal visit had another purpose. A cover album of 1969 tracks ‘Key to Change’ had been produced for the occasion and helps to raise funds to improve the conditions in Centrepoint.
It can be downloaded exclusively at www.fairsharemusic.com Artists include Jools Holland, Bad Lieutenant, The Feeling, Galen Ayers, Ian Brown, The Smiths and more..
