Caravans from the estate of Dale Farm are to be evicted following a ruling by a High Court judge in London.
They are located in 49 of 54 sites in Essex and are to be removed. But Basildon Council won’t be taking action until all legal issues are finalised. The site has been the scene of angry confrontation with police and officials as the residents refused to leave. They believe they have a right to be there because of their travelling background.
The travellers were protesting against eviction saying it contravened their human rights. ynuk.tv went to the site where the residents of the caravans were protecting their property and insisted they had a right to be living there.
They were very protective about their living conditions and reluctant to let anyone enter to view the estate. From a distance they worked hard at keeping the premises liveable
