While riots left their destructive marks in August 2011 the community

displayed their reaction.  They turned a boarded up shop window in

Peckham into a Wall of Love in the south London suburb.

Poundland among many shops in Rye Lane looted during the violence 2 years ago.

The Wall was full of devoted messages written by the community determined

to show that the outbreak of clashes would not take over the neighbourhood.

Local council preserved the Wall and put it on display in the nearby library.
